An Inuksuk Adventure
An Inuksuk Adventure is the story of a little bear that got lost, and the Inuit boy who taught him to follow inuksuit to find his way home.
Elena Rivera MacGregor is the creative director of Rivera Design Group Ltd, winner of the Vancouver 2010 National Olympic Logo Design Competition. When Elena researched inuksuit for her logo design, she discovered that there wasn't a lot of information documented on line about these amazing sculptures. The more details she found, the more fascinated she became with their personalities, meaning and functionality. In 2007, she created and is co-owner of Inukie Cookie Co. She developed an educational system for inuksuk sculptures, The Silent Language of the Inuksuit. This system includes a Build Your Inuksuk kit with instructions and descriptions of various sculptures, a Canadian friendship cookie that is shaped like a inuksuk and a half dozen stamped cookies. This product line also includes a coloring book. An Inuksuk Collection.

Canukshuks
Like our other discovery products, Canukshuks are softened with water allowing the sand to be carefully worked away with the wooden stick provided.
Canukshuks contain six soapstone puzzle pieces which can be arranged to solve a pictograph; like a bear, wolf, or fox. Each soapstone puzzle is hand painted and cut, so no two are exactly alike.
In addition, the pieces can also be stacked in a variety of ways to create an assortment of soapstone sculptures.
Soapstone comes in a variety of colours, mostly greens and browns. Its main component, talc, is very soft which allows the stone to be easily cut and shaped. Used for thousands of years for cooking pots and bowls, it is also widely used for art work and has become synonymous with Inuit sculpture.
